A Tarot Prophecy and Other Stories follows nine different stories. Each of the stories has a different plot and characters, yet all of these are sure to leave you spooked and yearning for more.
The first story, “Captured Souls” features Mr. Lewis as he reads the words “Help Me” on a mysterious tombstone shortly after his wife’s tragic death. His curiosity piques, and he makes sure to research about it. But when he does, it unfolds a dark reality. Was it just an unlucky coincidence, or was it his fate?
The titular story “A Tarot Prophecy” features a wife, who starts to receive mysterious tarot cards in her mail, foreshadowing certain events that might happen to her in the future. When they begin to come true, she can’t help but wonder about the reason this was happening. Could it be a sinister reality, or was it bound to happen all along?
In “The Recruiter”, a Korean soldier embarks on a journey to help his fellow, who has been missing for a few days. But soon after he reaches there, he discovers something that might change his life forever.
Another story, “Second Skin” delves into the life of a man who loves finding new books and revealing their hidden secrets. One day, he finds a mysterious book in his personal library, and discovers that the book is made from human flesh, and it feeds on it. Will he give his own blood, or will he destroy it?

My Take on A Tarot Prophecy and Other Stories:
These nine tales are equally authentic in terms of horror and wild imagination. Each of these makes wonderful use of the different settings and dark fantasy, leaving you with a haunting feeling.
This book has great world-building, where the human desires for immortality, wealth, and unresolved obsessions manifest in terrifying ways. As a reader, you will be completely immersed in it, speechless and unable to distinguish where fictional words ended and where real life began. All stories have intriguing plots, and you will be left guessing who’s the real culprit.
The author’s ability to intertwine the supernatural with normal human life results in a memorable and haunting read that achieves far more than your average horror story. All the characters were amazingly described, with their flaws and fears portrayed in a realistic manner.
I found the writing style to be extremely engaging. The author uses gruesome imagery to describe the events that will send shivers down your spine.
For those who appreciate horror that goes beyond the normal supernatural, “A Tarot Prophecy and Other Stories” is an exceptional and must-read collection.
