These Wicked Deeds, a novel of Contemporary Romance by Sophia Luxe Is the first book in the Wicked series. The story shifts, however, with Sofia’s supposed death and the appearance of Isabella Castillo.

Spoiler-Free Plot

Sofia was brought up in a cartel-controlled environment, and Wes was more like a best friend to her—one she could confide in. She had a dangerous and complex life, as she came from a family involved in a notorious Colombian cartel. Her father was into illegal businesses and, worse still, a monster. He hurt Sofia’s mother at the slightest provocation and left her with bruises.

Wes was very aware of the violent environment that Sofia lived in, and he wished he could do something, anything at all, to help her out of it. On one occasion, he suggested that he and Sofia get married so he could take her away from the pains she was experiencing in her own father’s house. But she was opposed to it, as she reminded him that her father would never approve. Deep down, Sofia had the desire for freedom and resilience in the face of her adversity, and she wished there was something she could do to earn it.

The connection between Wes and Sofia was a strong one, and so they comforted each other. But they were not the only ones in the friendship chain; Nikolai and Damien existed too. In total, they were four best friends with an unbreakable bond. But all of a sudden, something bad happened. One day Sofia was gone, never to return, or so everyone thought. Because it was revealed that she had died along with her father. The news hit the trio. It was a big blow to their faces. While Wes and Damien were eventually able to go on about their activities later on, even when they still missed Sofia badly, Nikolai couldn’t think straight. It was as if he had lost his mind. He was almost always away from the world, isolated. Underneath everything, there existed a love relationship between him and Sofia, but now she was gone. Was he dreaming? Was she never going to come back to him again?

But then a new chapter of their lives began when Wes discovered a lady in a club who looked exactly like Sofia, the one they all thought had died. He couldn’t stop thinking about her. Why did she look so much like Sofia? Was he imagining things? He could’ve just let things slide, but he didn’t. His curiosity led him to discover that the woman he had seen was actually Isabella Castillo, the club owner who rarely made public appearances. And Isabella Castillo had a dark past, one she didn’t want to let out. Will her past life be revealed? What did it have to do with the trio—Wes, Nikolai, and Damien?
