Angry Robot Signs Michael Nayak for Sci-Fi Horror Debut “Symbiote”

Angry Robot Books signed Michael Nayak for his debut novel, Symbiote, in a two-book deal announced in January 2024. The science-fiction horror novel was then scheduled for spring 2025.

Michael Nayak, with a background as a former DARPA researcher and space shuttle engineer, brings a wealth of technical knowledge to his writing. His debut novel, “Symbiote”, is a science fiction horror story that centers around a newly emerged parasite at a research station in the South Pole. This parasite is said to create a dangerous and evolving hive mind among the scientists there.

The deal included Symbiote and a second novel. Lindsay Guzzardo of Martin Literary Management handled the agreement, as Nayak also acknowledged on his website.
