“Nerdection Worth to Read”

If you enjoy sci-fi and adventure, this book is a must-read. Xima is an expertly written novel that follows the story of Zach Bates, a love-stricken man unaware of his power and importance.

Zach is an ordinary man who wishes to live out his days with the love of his life, Katia. However, the universe has a different plan for him. Zach is actually the pivot in a battle of good and evil between two planets ravaged by war: Earth and Xima. Without his help, both worlds would meet their ends, and thousands of lives would be lost.

General Tonya Skyler has traveled halfway across the galaxy in search of a hero and warrior who has the power to end these wars. She finds Zach, and the pair embark on a journey of peace, self-discovery, and romance.

Spoiler-Free Summary

Zach and his one true love, Katia, live a quiet and peaceful life. For the most part, they remain oblivious to the dangers and horrors that result from war. However, that all changes when a soldier named General Tonya Skyler arrives at their home.

She has traveled far and wide in search of a warrior who has the power to end the war and protect Xima from swarms of predatory humans. Zach doesn’t believe he is this hero but agrees to be trained by the General and help her prevent the destruction of two worlds.

Over time, Zach becomes stronger than any soldier she has seen before, confirming her belief that he is the one who will save her people. Along with his newly acquired skills, however, Zach has also developed a newfound love for the General, which only leaves him more confused than ever before.

Together, Zach and the General leave his home on a mission to cleanse the tortured land of Xima and rescue Earth and its people from civil wars and certain destruction. On this journey, they encounter communities of people who have lost everything to the violence, which solidifies Zach’s desire to help.

Zach’s love for the General intensifies, leading to inner conflicts that he will eventually have to face. For now, he must find a way to turn this turmoil into a rage that can be used as a weapon against the enemy.

My Takeaway on Xima

Xima is a medium-length novel that brilliantly leaves the reader in suspense. Cliffhangers and plot twists scattered throughout the story add to the overall appeal. You never know what will happen next, making it difficult to put the book down.

The characters are also incredibly well-developed and likeable. You feel sympathy for Zach whenever he experiences turmoil or has to make a difficult decision, which shows just how successful Rich Blecher’s writing style is.

However, it is worth noting that sometimes, the storyline can be difficult to follow. Some of the scenes are described in too much detail, which can sometimes feel unnecessary. That said, if you enjoy a slow burner that builds as you go, this aspect might be exactly what you are looking for. Certain scenes are unsuitable for young children, which should be considered before purchase.

As reflected in the novel’s overall ratings, anyone who enjoys science fiction will enjoy Xima. The book also includes an element of action and romance, meaning that it truly has something for everybody.

If you are looking for an addictive story with plenty of adventure, Xima is a must-read.

About The Author Of Xima

Rich Blecher grew up with ADHD before it was a known term. He struggled with reading and writing, but his imagination could be described at times as unimaginable. At one point in his life, he realized he could channelize his random thoughts into a linear path, allowing a story to be unfolded as fast as he could type. Xima was his first published book and has a rival sequel that beta readers have claimed to be even more impressive.
