“Nerdection Worth to Read”

There is no shortage of passion, love, and everything else erotic in this fantasy story from the pen of the author Jaime Sanchez. While the blossoming and dying of love are intertwined throughout the storyline, that’s not all this story is about.

Readers who love romance and passion stories will find what they’re looking for in The Warrior of the High Plains: The Legend of the Horrendous Chaos. They’ll also find a good measure of historical lore and action galore, crossing genres with pinpoint accuracy.

Spoiler-free Summary

A higher level (and a good dose) of passion is what readers can get ready for in this historical fantasy book. Readers will learn more about the history of the Mayan and Aztec people, including things most of us don’t know, like their deities.

We explore the story behind the invasion of Cholula and the accusation of treason by the nobles of this town in old Mexico. In the story’s version of events, a dispute over the love of the goddess Victoria was portrayed as an Excan Tlahltoloyan invasion of Cholula.

Also, we learn a bit more about the goddess Victoria, who, according to the gladiator stone, was manifested as the emissary. She was also the harbinger of the destruction of the fifth sun, according to legends, but also drawn to Tezcatlipoca.

The story follows the passionate tale of how she fell for the God of Sorcery and the final betrayal that led to the inevitable. We will also discover if the God of the Night and Wind will get away with it… again.

Love will grow and eventually die amidst the vicious battles and glorious conquering of territory and hearts. Will the pack of Cholultecas catch up with Tezcatlipoca in a relentless pursuit of the Prince of Discord and Conflict? Only time will tell.

So many things are happening at the same time in this story that it becomes difficult to keep track of every event if you aren’t paying attention. It’s a bit complicated but also very thrilling. The goddess Victoria was found by one of the warriors who barely heard her whisper words when he covered her with sacred robes.

Amid flowery wars, sacrifices, and rituals, readers will be able to follow the storyline that leads to the final resolution and closure. But not before we learn much of the history of the Cholula invasion and the massacre of innocent people.

The Jerez Fair and the Battle of Zacatecas are events in the history of Mexico many would rather forget. The author convincingly demonstrates the power of the mind in this macabre yet candid account of actual events.

My Take Away on The Warrior of the High Plains

Readers will meet a version of the God of Night and Sorcery, Tezcatlipoca, a deity of the Toltec people in this historical fantasy. War at the time of the invasion of Cholula in Mexico is a huge part of this story, with accurate accounts of this historical event, which makes it very interesting.

Also introduced in this story are the goddess Victoria and the feathered serpent known as the Aztec creator god, Quetzalcoatl. The theme of this book may seem a bit chaotic at the start, but it is titled to reflect this, and once you have a grasp on the theme, you’ll be ensconced in the story.

Though the story takes its time to unfold, the author keeps the reader captivated in interesting ways. The story is long-winded and, as the subtitle suggested, a bit chaotic, so you need to stay focused.

A lot of research was invested into the historical events that led to the telling of this exciting story. With a thrilling account, the author brought legends and lore to life, and old Mexican traditions are colorfully described. The historical accuracy of Mexican tradition was great to discover.

The book is not intended for a younger audience, but readers who love romance, erotica, and historical accounts of any kind will love this story. I would recommend this book for the hopeless romantics who want a bit of the naughty, messy, crazy parts of life and love in a story.

Audience

Adults who enjoy romance, erotica, historical romance, and action.
