The novel, Jigsaw of Light by JC Button is a thrilling and erratic read. Readers of fantasy fiction who appreciate well-written suspenseful novels ought to pick up this book. This book was so much joy to read. Each chapter was interesting and had good cliffhangers. This book has some amazing turns and twists. Throughout, I was kept utterly entertained, and Zeb’s mission was incredibly motivating towards the end. His determination to find his father despite the obstacles that stood in front of him is worthy of emulation.

Another thrilling aspect of this novel is how Zeb’s confidence was portrayed when he maneuvers the surfboard skillfully, embarking on a thrilling journey along Cornwall’s coast. I was able to discover the beautiful scenery in my mind, due to the way the author’s placement of words.

The author deftly blends aspects of thrilling adventures and mythology. Awe and a sense of oneness with nature are brought to life by the beautiful depiction of coastal vistas.

The book’s main themes were connection, familial secrets, and isolation. Zeb feels connected to his father, despite his disappearance, he longed for his father’s presence in his life and was ready to pay the ultimate price to put him back in his life. Even if his mother is present in his life, Zeb still feels alone. The author masterfully puts readers in the mind of Zeb and other characters, creating a vivid and natural image.

The author’s writing is lively and seamlessly transitions from one concept to the next. The author is able to demonstrate that, against all obstacles, we can stand by those we care about. The way the author skillfully blended the different action and suspenseful aspects of the narrative was another aspect of this book that I enjoyed.

Also, I like the fact that there is some sort of contrast in the views of Zeb and his mother. Zeb’s mother characterizes his father as reckless, while Zeb sees him as a hero, particularly in connection to the ocean and the possibilities it holds. Zeb’s desire to maintain his connection to his father and Cornwall clashes with his mother’s attempts to adapt to their new life in London.

Let your feelings run smoothly as you give this work of fiction a try! You will have no regrets about this decision in the future.
