“Nerdection Must Read”

Some books pull you into a new world and Roger P. Heath‘s Warriors Of Continuum Part Three: Life is one of them. This is the third read of a larger series that will definitely take you into the deeper saga.

A book that is a mixture of fantasy and fiction, where people have to make difficult choices, even if their choice affects them personally.

Spoiler-Free Summary

Roger P. Heath writes this book in a very descriptive way. The way he balances life-threatening battles with personal sacrifices is mind-blowing. This epic story is not only about fighting with huge monsters or traveling to other planets but it is about living people who have to take tough routes to keep on living.

The story follows warriors like Lanky and River, guardians such as Jalu and survivors like Do’Pan and Mar’Shi whose paths cross in moments of sadness, bravery and sacrifice as they all try to fight against physical and emotional challenges.

The Sanctuary, a safe place where the survivors live, is the center of the story as this place is now in danger as the dark and powerful demons like Alkazar and Ishkigal threaten to destroy everything.

The story is amazing from start to end with many tribes, shamans and warriors. It has heartbreaks, betrayals and battles but also contains love, friendship and hope. The ending is powerful, both sad and inspiring showing that even in the darkest time, life finds its way to move on.

My Take On Warriors Of Continuum Part Three: Life

Believe me, the author’s imagination is boundless in this book. He created a world which is filled with the landscapes of dead planets, sanctuaries, wastelands that are all painted in rich detail. There are tribes with their own rules, gods who influence events, warriors bonded to animal-like demons, and even spacecraft preparing to travel across the stars.

The book is fast-paced and feels like a cinematic film, especially in the battle scenes. What I like the most are the deep emotions. The characters are not just soldiers in the war but living beings who suffer from grief, faith and impossible choices.

Jalu is one of the most memorable characters. She is brave and fearless but also makes mistakes and then suffers. Do’Pan represents the hope for the future but also a young woman under a lot of pressure. I really feel for them in every step of the story. Then there is Mar’Shi, who has visions she rarely understands, but her relationship with her brother P’Lan is unique. Their bond adds a very human and emotional side to the story.

Overall, in my opinion this book is for those who want to enjoy a deep, meaningful and adventurous story, not just something quick and easy.

The book Life is about just that, life itself, breakable but worth standing for, to keep on living at any cost.

Content Warning

There are some intense and dark moments, mentions of violence, battles, deaths, sacrifices, emotional traumas and the themes of the world’s ending. So if you are sensitive to these topics, then you should toughen up before reading it.

About The Author Of Warriors Of Continuum Part Three: Life

Roger P. Heath is a life-long geologist and debut author whose favourite film is It’s a Wonderful Life, and whose bookshelves include Elif Shafak’s There are Rivers in the Sky, Steven Erikson’s Malazan Book of the Fallen, and Roddy Doyle’s Barrytown Trilogy.

The peculiar workings of his mind once threw out a phrase: No one knows but I, who wrote this here and why. He captured the thought, then laid the journal aside. Many sun-cycles later, he found those dust-laden notes and decided to find out what those words meant. This led him to Lanky, Jessica, and Beth. And Naga and the Iyes. And Shadow and the Ka. And … Well, to the tale of the Warriors of the Continuum, a tale of unprepared, yet spirited characters just trying to do the right thing.

His epic trilogy of Arrival, Deception, and Life is being released through 2025 to Jan 2026.
